Update on Recent Activity

Hello! Sorry for the lack of updates since September. (It feels way longer than 3 months.) I've been posting almost absolutely daily on my Tumblr which can be found: HERE. I have also been uploading at my Deviantart over HERE!

I've been finding convenience posting on tumblr since it's quite quick for pictures. Maybe I'll dump some of the recent Tumblr stuff onto here when I find the time.

Painting wips

Just some stuff trying out some new colours than I usually do and stuff.

Flash Roda

I thought I was going to get away from Flash on the weekend. But then I had wanted to try to clean up in flash and do some colour just because I understand how it's done now. Took a really old drawing/design of him and just went over..

Hey so...

After working in flash for so long in a studio I think it felt pretty nice to work digitally where you actually drew... again. So uh. Just a doodle. Haven't posted for a while. Haha.

Thinker

Work in progress. I actually went through a lot of different versions to get to this. It was mostly experimental work. Probably will finish it up tomorrow... and fix it...

Thoughts

Will probably make this nicer later. Just a thing I wanted to do before I went to sleep.

Nothing really exciting. Still working on his ex-girlfriend. Blonde this time and more friendly like. Maybe Roda has a thing for blondes.

Ex-girlfriend

A friend and I recently decided that Roda likes girls, too. This one drawing was for jokes. Not to mention I was half asleep drawing this (again I forgot how to draw for a while). She's still under development. Expect her to pop up at least once in the Airborne Pilots comic/etc.

Avoiding Glances

Just wanted to doodle. Drawing when you have a coming head ache and when you're almost half asleep is interesting. Everything goes wonky, haha.

RAVEN - Rook's plane

This is concept stuff for Meyson's plane. It's based off a Spitfire IA X4036. I'm just getting familiar with the plane first then I'll be off to exaggerating it a bit more later. So it doesn't just look like a plane.

I'm finding it harder to draw digitally today. I'll probably contiue on paper tomorrow.

Pilots - exploration

I'm trying to figure out how to make the streamline look a little bit broken, so there'll be wrinkles but not too much that'll it'll revert to my old style. And not so less that it's originally how I re-designed them. Still trying to figure it out but getting there slowly. I'm going to have to do more studies for wrinkles first... too.

Anyways, there's about 4-5 characters missing and then having to finish up the two sketched ones. These are more like doodles that I did today.

Here's something I whipped up today. Might finish it later. But wanted to try something new and tried a new technique.

This is more like a thumbnail sketch of an idea I got today.

 I'll be designing them into three characters and finish them up like I did for the "Super Team!" picture that I did earlier.

Dan Portrait wip

My friend came over for a couple of days, so I hadn't been able to work on this until "tonight". I had thought I was going to like this at first but I'm becoming more and more displeased with it as it's coming along. At this point I'm not even sure if I am interested in it enough to finish up later.

There's a lot of things wrong with the structure that's not making it strong enough that I feel confident to push along. Might want to scrap and just start again. It's disappointing though. Hmm.
