Meyson Face #2

Just an update.
Not much added actually but...
I think he looks a bit feminine--whoops!
Roda would kill for a photo of this that he can keep in his back pocket. Ha.

Here is the old one just for comparison's sake.

Meyson Face

Did some speed paint thing. Started first as a doodle I did 5 mins before having to go to life drawing "last night" (considering it's 3:43 am).

I like them for their own reasons. One more a more realistic feel and the other short haired/more graphic Meyson.

Will probably add to it later.

Saeko "poster" wip

Redesigned some old characters from my first year design final assignment. The "new" designs are subtly changed but I took out a lot of the random angles and lines I put in them during first year.

Still a work in progress, obviously. Just some idea for lighting. I'm still not sure what colouring style I'll do this in....

Random Lady #2 - additions

Added a little more stuff during a break for other stuff I'm working on.

Random Lady #2

I wanted to see if I could do better than the last "random" lady. I think I did by a longshot.
Also, I learned a couple of new colouring techniques here (a quicker way of getting a nicer fleshy skin tone colour). I also learned more appropriate places for high lights on the face. If I have extra time I think I'll go and eventually finish this up.

Random lady

I think it took 40 mins? or so.
I was aiming for 20 but a guest speaker came while I was working on it so I had a time lapse in between somewhere and lost track.

I've actually haven't done digital painting for a while now that I'e thought of it. School didn't give me time for it. But yeah..

Anyways. In the end I decided to flip the canvas for "lookout". I felt like it was more open that way (maybe cause I'm right handed... I don't know.) The one on the right is a painting of my character, Gii. This took 3-4 hours? So getting faster but still lots to work on. (I need to study noses!) Something's off with his right eye, too. But I realized this a bit too late. I'll try to fix it later.

Lookout

The only negative thing for me for being inspired at 5:00 is that I don't go to sleep.

This is a practice thing. Of course a bit more quickly done. I'll probably continue tomorrow now that I've decided I'll go to sleep now.... (I actually started with values this time, too! Hahaha.)
