Meyson Face #2

Just an update.
Not much added actually but...
I think he looks a bit feminine--whoops!
Roda would kill for a photo of this that he can keep in his back pocket. Ha.

Here is the old one just for comparison's sake.

The Artist

Today, I came up with an idea I possibly might want to storyboard (17 panels) and two or three possibly simple layouts to accompany it. These are some sketches for the concept. I still haven't decided what the artist and his beloved will look like but it's leaning towards the coloured image I think.

Saeko "poster" wip

Redesigned some old characters from my first year design final assignment. The "new" designs are subtly changed but I took out a lot of the random angles and lines I put in them during first year.

Still a work in progress, obviously. Just some idea for lighting. I'm still not sure what colouring style I'll do this in....

Air Cadets

I think these are almost finished but there's a couple of things I want to change.

Random Lady #2 - additions

Added a little more stuff during a break for other stuff I'm working on.

Random Lady #2

I wanted to see if I could do better than the last "random" lady. I think I did by a longshot.
Also, I learned a couple of new colouring techniques here (a quicker way of getting a nicer fleshy skin tone colour). I also learned more appropriate places for high lights on the face. If I have extra time I think I'll go and eventually finish this up.

Random lady

I think it took 40 mins? or so.
I was aiming for 20 but a guest speaker came while I was working on it so I had a time lapse in between somewhere and lost track.

Modern Groupies

If Sheik was his own person and they three were buddies, this'd be it for me:

Train Colour Keys

I like each of them for their own reasons. If I had time, I'd love to do three of them, haha. But I don't think I'll be able to do that. I'm leaning towards the first one. People seem to be fond of that one the most.

Pilots - final

Hopefully this doesn't send the wrong message to some people.
I think this was the first time I've painted warm skin colours like that. Hopefully it turned out okay-ish.

Random Digi Paints

Practice things. I think these were from 30mins-1hour type of thing. I think I should start referencing when I do these. So I can start to build up this mentality library of things... hmm.

Zelda Dump

Uh, yeah, none of these are on model to each other I think. Cept two?

I think I was listening to ocarina music when I did these. I think one of the first things I'm buying when I get a job is a nice little ocarina. That way I can bring it with me and play it when I want. Haha.

I've actually haven't done digital painting for a while now that I'e thought of it. School didn't give me time for it. But yeah..

Anyways. In the end I decided to flip the canvas for "lookout". I felt like it was more open that way (maybe cause I'm right handed... I don't know.) The one on the right is a painting of my character, Gii. This took 3-4 hours? So getting faster but still lots to work on. (I need to study noses!) Something's off with his right eye, too. But I realized this a bit too late. I'll try to fix it later.

Lookout

The only negative thing for me for being inspired at 5:00 is that I don't go to sleep.

This is a practice thing. Of course a bit more quickly done. I'll probably continue tomorrow now that I've decided I'll go to sleep now.... (I actually started with values this time, too! Hahaha.)
